This very old building that you see in the picture is an ancient hotel. In the beginning it was continental hotel, then french hotel, it was made with very light infrastructure in the beginning such as wood, ravimpontsy, falafa,….There was a lot of settler who stayed there when they arrived at the port in that time. 
But after the violence cyclone in 1927, it was reconstructed by a very knowledgeable architect then it became a very important peaople flat, then after the independence , lot of cooperating French people lived also in it, and nowadays it is for malagasy families but unfortunatly
