This actual hall town is dated in 1960. It had been constructed just after the iIndependence of Madagascar proclamation. At that time, it was an international funfair preparation period in 1963 here in Tamatave. The new mayor was Bezaka Alexis, who was the first Malagasy mayor in Tamatave. He chose the place for this hall town and here it is on the Independence avenue with very nice view on the ocean.
